Position Summary
In this dynamic and challenging role, you will build and lead the Account Services team to serve members by providing outstanding personalized service and responding to their account servicing needs in a prompt, efficient and accurate manner. You will play a key role in developing the lifelong financial partnerships we value with each of our members.
This exciting role will oversee the Account Services operations department and interfaces with the Chief Operations Officer to ensure that departmental functions are handled with the highest operational efficiency.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
To succeed in this position, you must be able to satisfactorily perform common, uncommon and complex occurrences of each of the following satisfactorily:
- Ensures that all New Accounts, Business Accounts, Deceased Accounts, Trust Accounts, IRAs, Levies, Dormant Shares and Escheatment of Accounts processing are completed accurately and timely.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable deposit account regulations.
- Develops, applies and evaluates policies, processes and procedures for the department.
- Manage a moderate to high volume of incoming customer and employee support calls on a daily basis.
- Manage the department workload by developing and using statistics and trend reports.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the credit unions products and services.
- Collaborate with department and other departments to provide effective and efficient service to members.
- Maintain complete confidentiality of member, employee and Credit Union information.
- Understand and comply with applicable Federal and State laws, banking regulations and OE Federal Credit Union’s policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications and Skill Requirements
- Associate degree in a related business field and four years of work experiences in a similar role OR High School Diploma and six years of experience in a similar role required. Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field and two years of work experience in a similar role preferred.
- Knowledge and compliance of various operation support functions and applicable rules, regulations and statutory requirements of credit union compliance (Deceased, Trust, IRAs, Dormant and Escheated Accounts)
- Accredited IRA/Trust Account Certification is preferred
- Ability to effectively supervise, train, coach and develop department staff required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required; Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Must be capable of working agreed upon work shift and occasionally working before/after the work shift
- Physical activities include a combination of constant sitting and hand motion, and occasional standing and walking. These activities are not necessarily performed to the same degree and combination every day
- Must be able to repetitively use a telephone and a computer mouse and keyboard
- Must be capable of lifting 10 pounds

Salary Range: $79,000-106,000/year

- Responsible for providing branch coverage assistance at various branch locations in the absence of branch staff or branch management.

- Provide additional support to branch staff with more complicated member requests.
- Manage cash drawer and branch vault while adhering to policy limits.
- Communicate problems, special circumstances of branch operations, union activity, and employee situations to management.
- Maintain a current notary public certificate.
- Collaborate seamlessly with colleagues across departments and branches to deliver optimal and efficient service to our members. Uphold a standard of professionalism actively fostering positive relationships with co-workers.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the credit union’s products and services, ensuring compliance with applicable Federal and State laws, Credit Union banking regulations, and OE Federal Credit Union’s policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications and Skill Requirements
- Associates degree in an applicable field AND Internal: minimum 3 years of work experience in Junior Lead role; External: minimum 4 years of work experience in a similar role OR High School Diploma/GED AND Internal: minimum 5 years of work experience in a Junior Lead role; External: minimum 6 years of work experience in a Lead-level role.
- Effective organizational, multi-tasking and prioritizing skills required.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills required.

- Proficiency with JHA Symitar preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

- Assess compliance with credit union policies and procedures and sound business practices
- Assess compliance with state and federal laws and contractual obligations.
- Draft audit reports to summarize findings; collaborate with internal stakeholders on post audit remediation plans; and present reports to executive management and the Supervisory Committee.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual risk-based audit plan.
- Assist external auditor(s) and regulatory examiners by providing data and information as requested.
- Understand and comply with applicable Federal and State Laws, banking regulations and OE Federal Credit Union Policies and Procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications and Skill Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Economics required.
- 3years of experience conducting complex audits, compliance reviews and internal control assessments in accordance with professional auditing standards required.
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing and with various levels of management and staff required.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical and creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines required.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) required.
- Obtaining Certified Credit Union Internal Auditor (CCUIA) certification within 18 months of hire required.
