UNCLE Credit Union is seeking a Vice President - Finance to join its Finance team, headquartered in Livermore, CA. Reporting to the SVP, CFO, this position provides support to the daily operations of the finance team, as well as providing a superior level of service to Credit Union employees and external partners.
Duties include:
- Manage the credit union’s investments and borrowings, as well as oversee the secondary market activities and ensure all activities are aligned with liquidity, interest rate risk, and income objectives of the credit union.
- Timely and accurate preparation of financial records, regulatory, and tax related agency reports.
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve finance operations, streamline work processes, research, and implement new or enhanced financial applications.
- Assist in preparing budgets, financial planning and ongoing variance analysis; and recommend strategies on fiscal management.
- Develop, implement, and maintain finance related systems.
- Ensure policies and procedures follow regulations, accounting and auditing standards, and the organization’s objectives and values.
- The successful candidate will serve as a member of the ALCO and oversee preparation of ALM reports, trends, and analyses.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college with a major in Business – Finance, Accounting, or closely related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
- In-depth knowledge of financial benchmarking, accounting, audit and tax compliance and regulations
- Has thorough understanding of investments, financial research, and reporting.
- CPA certificate or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or closely related field, preferred

Compensation: Base starting range: $142,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience.
