Job Description

We are seeking a Regional Energy Program Manager to join our Global Real Estate/Facilities/Safety (GRFS) group to manage and support the implementation of energy and related facility sustainability initiatives for the Americas Region.


This position is responsible for independently building an energy program to meet the company's aggressive emissions reductions targets by a 2030 deadline.


  • Optimize our renewable energy portfolio and execute strategy to deliver 100% renewable energy to our facilities.

  • Manage and work with site partners to coordinate major energy reduction program including a multi-site energy assessment program, providing technical leadership to projects and manage the achievement of deliverables to time and to budget.

  • Manage renewable projects and maximize performance of company assets.

  • Conduct detailed energy assessments and develop energy proposals for every site.

  • Lead and collaborate on the implementation and management of energy and sustainability projects.

  • Coordinate energy procurement, renewable energy purchasing and implementation of new technologies with the global energy and sustainability platform.

  • Work with internal partners to identify and prioritize energy capital projects, operational changes, and building upgrades that result in reduced energy consumption.  This could include operational settings of mechanical equipment, HVAC upgrades, lighting retrofits, building envelope enhancements, demand response programs, and control strategies, plug load management, employee engagement, and evaluating cutting edge technologies and services.

  • Develop and present monthly energy and sustainability status reports, monitors and reports on energy use, water use, waste diversion rates and spending trends.

  • Responsible for formalizing scope, obtaining quotes, performing project savings analysis and obtaining project approval.

  • Perform building utility energy use analysis including the utilization of the Energy Star Portfolio.


  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Engineering, Facilities Management, or Energy Management.  CEM (or equivalent) preferred and LEED accreditation a plus.

  • Minimum 5 years' experience and/or understanding of carbon footprint reporting, renewable or energy markets or power trading.

  • Experience with renewable credit programs, green tariffs, utility scale renewable project development, power forecasting and scheduling, portfolio management theory, wholesale power marker operations, or alternative energy resources.

  • Experience building relationships and working with industry stakeholders, such as utilities, regional power planning agencies, renewable project developers, project investors, and renewable OEMs.

  • Experience with ASHRAE level Energy Audit; Water Audit and Retro-Commissioning services.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Ability to effectively present information.  Strong people skills and ability to influence and negotiate.

  • Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. 

  • Conducts advanced financial analysis.

  • Ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret complex documents. 

  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills required.

  • A thorough understanding of carbon emissions, renewable energy certificates, power purchase agreements (PPA), energy efficiency in a manufacturing environment, industrial processes and refrigerant management is a must.

  • Possess detailed knowledge of building systems, industrial processes, energy and water efficiency projects and industry standards.

  • Ability to manage complex projects, meet deadlines, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and track progress toward short- and long-term deliverables.
