As the Production Planning Supervisor, you will supervise the Production Scheduling Department to manage the manufacturing planning for a production plant of moderate complexity (plant complexity as a combination of number of SKUs produced, Raw Materials, annual NPIs and regulatory complexity). You will manage a team of Production Schedulers responsible for scheduling production requirements and developing production build plans for a product line and/or lines that are built within one or more manufacturing location.
How You'll Make An Impact:
- Plans and schedules production in accordance with the overall sales and operations plan.
- Drives and identifies initiatives to optimize and achieve targeted inventory levels and to minimize production costs, and scrap reduction.
- Work with Supply Planning to determines optimum batch sizes to achieve targeted inventory levels and E&O targets
- Effectively manage the schedule ensuring work orders are sequenced to meet on-time delivery.
- Review plans & schedules in the rough-cut capacity stage and respond in advance to periods where demand is greater than available capacity to level loading or planning over time as needed.
- Communicate production plans to Production, Procurement, Supply Planning
- Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between work centers in order to provide smooth and timely flow in the factory.
- Proactively monitors potential conflicts and rectifies bottleneck areas that may cause delays.
- Promptly respond to demand and operational changes to support customer deliveries.
- Monitor production and supply related performance metrics and communicate issues in a timely manner.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly scheduling related reporting requirements to measure performance to plan.
- Understand plant capacities and constraints with the ability to articulate related insights to cross functional stakeholders.
- Manage product lifecycle projects for new, existing, and discontinuing products to ensure product availability and to minimize scrap and in communications on status and issues with Production, Procurement, Supply Planning, Engineering, R&D, QC, and Division Marketing.
- Maintain all open production work orders and complete all SAP transactions in a timely manner.
- Accurately maintain the appropriate planning parameters for capacity, resources, work centers, shop calendar to generate scheduling recommendation
- Maintains documentation records and compliance with all procedures and standards (i.e. ISO 9001, etc.)
- Drives SAP user adoption as well as system training and master data management.
- Hires, manages, evaluates performance, and develops team members.
- Assigns work, sets performance expectations, assigns priorities, and monitors the output of individual schedules for completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Product Supply Management or related discipline.
- 2+ years of production planning and scheduling experience.
- 5+ years manufacturing production experience, preferably in a regulated environment.
- 1-2 years of supervisory experience desirable.
- APICS CPIM certification a plus
- Familiarity with SAP and other manufacturing materials systems.
- PC skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, database software, internet software, manufacturing software).
- Strong leadership, influencing and communication skills.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving capability along with demonstrated ability to make sound business decisions.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $102,200 - $140,500 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is also eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
