Job Description
The Spirit of the Position:

The Parking Enforcement Representative position is an essential role in the Employee and Public Parking Lots at Oakland International Airport. Working under direct supervision, and acting with a high level of integrity, Parking Enforcement Representative enhances the parking experience by providing exceptional customer service while maintaining control of the secured parking lots, helping to resolve situations, supporting the removal of trash and debris, covering colleagues for their breaks, etc.

Essential Functions:

Greet employees upon arrival prior to the various parking lots.
Verify credentials for parking lots.
Safely and efficiently direct vehicle traffic into parking lots at assigned access points.
Respond to all requests for vehicle assistance and facilitate service with appropriate personnel.
Use reasoning and problem-solving skills to determine appropriate actions to be taken.
Work with an emphasis on safety for employees, teams, and guests.
Observe safety and security procedures and use equipment properly.
Physical patrols of the location.
Report any potentially hazardous conditions.
Ensure all breaks for department are given on time and as scheduled, according to state and federal regulations.
Provide break relief and the ability to fulfill all the essential functions.
Responsible for general maintenance of the parking lots – sweeping, wiping down surfaces and equipment, emptying trash, picking up trash, light power washing, and minor equipment repairs. Along with other janitorial duties throughout the parking lots.
Report any malfunctioning parking equipment to ensure appropriate access to employee and customers.
Regular and punctual attendance is paramount to this position.
Dependably to the work schedule, with the flexibility to work earlier or later as requested.
Be in correct LAZ Parking uniform, on time, and ready to work when scheduled.
Other related duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
1+ year customer service experience.
Parking industry experience is preferred but not required.

Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
Excellent phone/radio, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to speak, read, and comprehends the English language.
Must be open to feedback, differing opinions and other points of view.
Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness.
Demonstrates the ability to seek improvement.
Excellent teambuilding and interpersonal skills.
Must have a valid driver license and maintain a good driving record to operate company vehicles.
Physical Demands:

Ability to lift, push and pull at least 35 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.
Ability towalk up and down stairs and ramps.
Ability bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
