High School Diploma or GED required; 2-4 years of college or trade/technical school preferred.
3+ years of experience in machining and/or structural testing in an industrial laboratory environment with standardized test methods is preferred.
General machine shop skills required - table saw, tile saw, band saw, drill press, lathe, CNC, etc.
Experience with composite materials is desired.
Strong computer proficiency to include MS Office experience (Excel specifically); prior CAD/drafting software experience is highly desirable.
Ability to move and mount fixtures of up to 55 lbs. is required.
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions, etc.) are required.
Ability to understand engineering requirements; ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; and ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to read and operate measurement devices, such as calipers, micrometers, scales, etc., and compare results to required tolerances.
Works in a team environment to reach consensus decisions within the guidelines and boundaries established by the company, and maintains constructive relationships with co-workers.
Support and ensure compliance with Hexcel’s Safety System.
Operates at all times in compliance with the Hexcel’s Quality System and Quality Policy.
Comply with Hexcel policies, procedures, and Code of Business Conduct.
Ability to work overtime, as needed.
