Job Description

The Director of Brand Strategy will lead the development of innovative brand marketing strategies that align with Bio-Rad’s business objectives and resonate with target customer segments. You will use customer, product, and strategic insights to craft corporate brand positioning, messaging, and value propositions that keep Bio-Rad customer focused. You will develop a forward-looking brand framework to guide the team in delivering on strategic goals and work closely with business teams to ensure that all marketing campaigns align with the brand’s strategy, identity, and positioning.


How You’ll Make An Impact: 



  • Define and implement Bio-Rad’s brand objectives, governance, and strategy. This includes overseeing brand architecture, developing a best-in-class messaging strategy, and establishing the brand's positioning through a strategic framework. 

  • Development of compelling value propositions and competitive positioning for Bio-Rad that differentiates the brand in the marketplace. 

  • Cultivate a culture of innovation within the brand team and broader Creative Studio, encouraging creativity, experimentation, and operational excellence. 

  • Craft persuasive narratives and presentations to align stakeholders at all levels on brand strategy and customer engagement. 

  • Collaborate with event teams to enhance customer experience through integrated marketing and communication plans. 

  • Partner with Creative Studio leadership and Outbound Marketing teams to develop brand guidelines and campaign playbooks that ensure consistency across all marketing assets and customer touchpoints. 

  • Provide governance across Bio-Rad products and platforms, ensuring brand consistency from digital to commercial touchpoints.


What You Bring: 



  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field required. 

  • Work Experience: 15 years’ experience as a brand strategist/planner within advertising agencies, brand strategy consultancies, or the equivalent role inside a brand and creative marketing organization. Healthcare and/or biotech a plus. 

  • Analyze quantitative data related to business performance, brand health, and customer behavior, and transforming it into actionable insights. 

  • Deliver thoughtful analysis of qualitative and observational data, uncovering subtle insights that shape strategic decisions. 

  • Write compelling creative briefs that inspire top-tier storytelling. 

  • Develop brand architecture strategies for diverse and complex product and service portfolios. 

  • Create engaging brand positioning and narratives that resonate with both internal stakeholders and external audiences.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $193,900 to $266,700 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
