ELM’s mission is to support adults with special needs and their families to GROW, THRIVE and ACHIEVE in integrated communities. We support our participants in reaching their optimum level of individual potential by delivering a broad range of resources and ongoing guidance. ELM is committed to engaging individuals with choices that impact their lives. Participants enjoy socializing and recreation with friends, participating in leisure activities, volunteering in the community, and developing as a productive member of their community. We envision a future where people with developmental disabilities are truly part of their community.
-Implement program curricula
-Provide direct supervision and support for each participants
-Directly deliver individual and group learning experiences
-Provide opportunities for participants to make choices, participate, and learn
-Maintain daily logs and data regarding participant progress
-Participate in participant assessment, planning and evaluation process
-Provide assistance to client in basic self-help skills, daily living skills, and adaptive living skills
-Assist with researching community activities, events, and destinations, planning trips to desired locations, and arranging transportation, and attending outing with participants
-Act as an appropriate role model for participants.
Be flexible in site assignment, as job duties are to be carried out in different community settings
-Act as an advocate to promote and protect the rights of participants; Ensure individuals are treated with dignity and respect; Support participants in advocacy and self-advocacy actions
