Job Description

The City of Livermore is looking for administrative support to fill a part-time temporary position (no benefits). This position will provide administrative support to the City Manager’s Office while reporting directly to the Executive Assistant.

Examples of duties include:

  • Retrieve and Distribute Mail
  • Answer and Direct Phone Calls
  • Process Invoices
  • Maintain Inventory for Office Supplies & Supply Ordering
  • Purchasing Card Reconciliations
  • Maintain Up-to-Date Files
  • Assist with Event Planning and Execution
  • Data Entry
  • Complete Administrative Projects as Assigned
  • Work effectively under the pressure of deadlines
  • Communicate and relate effectively with those contacted in the course of work

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of Microsoft Office Systems including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Candidate must be willing and able to work in a standard office and provide various levels of support to multiple managers, communicate effectively, in-person and over the phone; and provide excellent customer service. This position will entail working between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. during City Hall business hours. This position is in-person, and the hours are flexible, though cannot exceed 29 hours per week. Candidates considered for this position will be subject to a fingerprint criminal history check.
