Data Science Intern

Bio-Rad is seeking a Summer Data Science Intern! In this role you will be part of the Software Development and Analytics team supporting the development of the Next Generation Sequencing and Droplet Digital PCR Software applications. You will work approximately 40 hours per week and will be assigned a mentor.  You will work within one of the functional disciplines in the Computational Biology organization. How You’ll Make an Impact:

• Design/code/test new features for digital PCR and NGS products.


• Work with Data Science sub-team to coordinate development of new features and resolve issues.


• Ability to work independently and as a part of a wider team.


• Ability to present data from capstone project to a broad audience.

What You Bring:

• Education: Third or fourth year student in Data Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Bioinformatics


• Excellent interpersonal/communication skills


• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team


• Experience coding Python/R


• Experience with common data science packages and tools


• Experience working with Data/Cloud

Compensation: The estimated hourly range for this position is $25 at the time of posting.  Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors.
