Cashier/Front End Clerk

A cashier's primary role is to assist customers in the in-store check-out process. Main duties include ringing up sales, bagging items, requesting price chacks, honoring coupons, collecting payment and giving appropriate change. An ideal candidate will have the ability to balance a till and familiarity with cash register operator procedures. Ideal candidate will also have experience with customer service and comfortable working in a team based environment.

Other General Responsibilities:

• Operate the cash register and POS system to process customer transactions.
• Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude.
• Scan items, bag merchandise, and issue receipts to customers.
• Knows and adheres to quality standards for customer service as outlined by the Store Owners/Operators.
• Adheres to all guidelines around product recommendation and information.
• Maintains safe work environment according to all sore procedures and state and/or federal regulations.
• Reports to work for scheduled shifts, on-time and appropriately uniformed.
• Accepts direction willingly and follows through will all delegated tasks.
• Takes initiative to identify, report and resolve probelms before they escalate.
• Assists in any other departments, based on store need.

Physical Demands:

• Can require frequent standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 lbs.
