Job Description
Pleasanton Ultimate is currently sourcing a Call Center Authorization Agent. This is a temp to hire role located in San Ramon, and pay starts at $16.73 per hour. This shift is Monday - Friday 8am-5pm, while training.

Qualified candidates must have:

· Excellent communication skills and a customer friendly attitude

· Customer service experience and the ability to problem solve

· Must be able to type 30 WPM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Authorization Agent interacts regularly with clients. They receive calls, and answer questions from Clients and Service Providers concerning the warranty claim process. Call Center Authorization Agents must be able to determine coverage under the terms and conditions of the Plan and effectively communicate appropriate courses of action to Plan Holders and Service Providers.

Duties include:

  • Receive incoming calls from Plan Holders and Service Providers, logging pertinent information accurately and efficiently while on the telephone, and ensuring requests meets Plan guidelines (e.g. effective dates, coverage, limitations, etc.)
  • Communicate effectively, asking pertinent questions to determine coverage
  • Approve or deny service while educating callers as to Plan coverage and processes
  • Evaluate bids to ensure suggested course of action is appropriate, and that parts/services are required and being provided at fair and reasonable prices
  • Build customer loyalty by handling calls in a professional manner

Self-starter with ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and adapt to change within a fast-paced business environment
Knowledge of and skill in using computer software, including proprietary data entry software
Home appliance or home warranty experience is a plus
Plumbing, Appliance, or HVAC experience is a plus
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
Background check upon acceptance of employment
High School education or equivalent required
