Job Description

As Sr Director, Global Process Owner MDM, your primary responsibility will be to lead and provide oversight of Bio-Rad’s enterprise data governance and management, and to ensure that it meets the required standards of trust, transparency, and reporting efficiency and accuracy necessary to support corporate initiatives and key company business processes across business functions and IT systems. 


You will act as a matrix leader to guide business process owners, department leaders, and key stakeholders who are responsible, accountable, consulted, or informed of the relevant end-to end process. 


In this highly collaborative role, you will quickly establish a trusting environment, leading by influence in a cross functional environment. You will be both a tactical hands on leader with the process users and business partners as well as a strategic leader building the right analysis and delivering insights to enable decision making at the Executive Level.


How You’ll Make An Impact: 



  • Define, implement and own Master Data Management end-to-end Process and drive continuous improvement by identifying areas of improvement, prioritizing based on expected business value, directing and overseeing a portfolio of improvement projects with cross functional teams from Global Commercial Operations, Global Supply Chain, Finance, and IT. 

  • Provide strategic direction to a team of internal Subject Matter Experts, Peer Global Process Owners (GPOs) and Business Process Owners (BPOs) to deliver continuous process improvement of Bio-Rad's OTC process to reach and sustain a best-in-class performance. 

  • Partner with IT on MDM system implementation and identify opportunities for Robotic Process Automation and application of Artificial Intelligence solutions to further MDM End to End process efficiency. 

  • Ensure all required inputs are being fed into Bio-Rad's Enterprise Systems (Kinaxis, SAP, EPM, SFDC, PowerBI, etc) and that these Enterprise systems are the sole system and source of truth for our enterprise end to end processes such as Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), Market to Order (MTO), Order to Cash (OTC), Procure to Pay (PTP). 

  • Ensure that processes are sufficiently documented, and that this documentation is well maintained. 

  • Track, monitor, report MDM process health through dashboard and take appropriate corrective action in areas of concerns. 

  • Support continuous education, as required, to ensure broad organizational support and alignment behind the MDM process especially during periods when there are personnel changes. 

  • Provide Executive Team members with information that supports decision making so that decisions enable the company to reach its strategic and financial objectives. 

  • Make recommendations and decisions to optimize overall business results rather than functional or team results. Ensure that KPI's are sufficient and meaningful to help manage Bio-Rad's management decision making and performance monitoring. 

  • Solicit and capture feedback from business partners, lead an annual process audit and assessment.

  • Review with process leaders any weaknesses in their part of the MDM End to End process and collaborate with them to develop and execute improvement plans. 

  • Assess subject matter expertise and the effectiveness of organizational design. Ensure they are optimum or formulate proposals to evolve organizational design and/or expertise as relevant.


What You Bring: 



  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA is.a plus; PMP certification desirable and preferred. 

  • 15+ years of progressive, demonstrated Master Data Governance and Management experience. 

  • 10+ years in a related progressive management role with end-to-end process accountability and a global scope. 

  • Demonstrated leader with a breadth of experience in Master Data Governance and Management, Project Management, Process Excellence and Change Management. 

  • Experience in implementing a Global process model for MDM 

  • Strong combination of MDM expertise and business acumen. 

  • Process Excellence and LEAN experience as a practitioner highly desirable. 

  • Expert time management and personal organizational skills. 

  • Self-motivated, continuous learner, strong attention to detail and results driven. Able to excel in a fast-paced, complex and ambiguous environment.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $221,000 to $304,000 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
