Security Program Manager

The Security Program Manager will report to the Sr Director of Global Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and Business Continuity Program (BCP). You will lead the global security team and oversee all aspects of security operations on a global scale. A key function will be providing SOPs, standards and procedures, as well as designing and managing security systems for all Bio-Rad facilities. You will complete security vulnerability assessments for all Bio-Rad locations, and complete Security Threat Analysis for new and existing facilities and operations. This position requires a dynamic leader who can navigate complex security challenges, build strong relationships, and drive a culture of security awareness throughout the organization. The ability to travel up to 50% of working time away from work location with the US and internationally, including overnight/weekend travel is required.

How You Will Make an Impact:

• Responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive security strategies, policies, and protocols to mitigate potential threats and safeguard the company’s operations.


• Serve as a trusted advisor to the Senior Leadership Team, partnering closely with senior executives and stakeholders to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate enterprise security risks to support global business expansion and resilience.


• International SOS (ISOS) administration and Travel Security, and manage current global threat communications and updates.


• Proactively assess risks and provide support in collaboration with executive leadership, and provide security presentations/program updates for the executives and management staff as needed.


• Serve as the Global Business Continuity Program (BCP) Coordinator back up.

What you Bring: 

• Bachelors, Masters preferred. Preferred major area of study: Law, Criminal Justice.


• MBCP/CBCP certification or equivalent. Preferred Professional Certifications: Certified Protection Professional (CPP).


• 15+ years minimum related experience required, including situations where high levels of service were a priority (i.e. law enforcement).


• Preferred: Relevant public sector training for former law enforcement or government officials; experience in building and elevating security awareness in a global organization.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


• Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking and sound judgment when making decisions.


• Strong executive presence and desire to continually improve communications and execution abilities.


• Preferred: Ability to build strong relationships and work with others in a collaborative, integrated manner; ability to integrate security into business decisions and subsequent creation/improvement of associated processes; flexibility to respond 24/7 to urgent matters as needed with a bias for decisive action.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $149,000 to $204,800 at the time of posting.  Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
