Job Description

In this role,  as a Bio-Rad Quality Control Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for the oversight and supervision of the Quality Control Receiving Inspection Department (QCRI).  With the assistance of two Quality Control Technicians, you will provide critical inspections of incoming raw materials, documenting critical characteristics, and ensuring that materials are available on time for our manufacturing group.  You’ll work with the Materials Handling Team to coordinate sample movement, prioritize workflows, and delegate inspection activities to your Team.  Once inspection is complete, you’ll ensure that all appropriate specifications are met and make the final decision on approval or rejection of incoming materials.


 


How You'll Make An Impact:



  • You will supervise workers engaged in raw material inspection and product testing activities.

  • Monitor daily operations and review QC test data.

  • Monitor the daily back order report and re-prioritize batches appropriately.

  • Formulate, document and maintain quality control standards and on-going control objectives.

  • Communicate, collaborate, and coordinate with Production and Planning departments to ensure timely testing and release of materials.


What You Bring:



  • Education: Bachelors in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or related field.

  • Work Experience: 3+ years quality control or manufacturing experience.

  • 0-3 years of supervisory experience.

  • Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems a plus.

  • Familiarity with ISO 13485, FDA regulations, GMP and GLP a plus.

Compensation: The estimated annual salary for this position is $70,200 to  $96,600 at the time of posting.  Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
