In this dynamic and challenging role, you will work directly with our customers and customer-facing employees to develop, expand and maintain positive real estate lending relationships by delivering an outstanding customer experience through an efficient and supportive mortgage loan process. By consulting the customer on the options available, listening to what their needs are and helping them find the best mortgage loan solution, you play a vital role in fostering the lifelong financial partnerships
Position Duties and Responsibilities
To succeed in this position, you must be able to satisfactorily perform common, uncommon and complex occurrences of each of the following under limited supervision from your manager:
- Process inbound and outbound mortgage loan-related phone calls from customers, co-workers and third party vendors (appraisal companies, title companies, etc.) on a daily basis.
- Actively listen to and respond to customer, co-worker and vendor needs while having a courteous and helpful attitude.
- Support customers and call center, branch and other real estate lending employees by:
- Responding to mortgage lending questions;
- Discussing financial and credit data and customer financing objectives;
- Advising on mortgage product and pricing options that address the defined financing objectives; and
- Evaluating mortgage loan applications and supporting information and documentation (credit reports, appraisals, title reports, etc.) efficiently and providing corresponding loan decisions quickly.
- Collaborate with co-workers in your department and in other departments and branches to provide effective and efficient service to our customers.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the company’s mortgage loan products and services.
- Understand and comply with applicable Federal and State laws, banking regulations and OE Federal Credit Union’s policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications and Skill Requirements
- High School Diploma/ GED required; Associates degree in a business-related field preferred.
- Two years of work experience in a consumer or mortgage credit-decisioning capacity required; three years of work experience in a mortgage credit-decisioning capacity preferred.
- Experience with Calyx Point or similar mortgage loan origination system required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Salary Range: $25.00 - $34.00/hour
