Job Description

As our Quality Control Specialist I you will support Bio-Rad’s commitment to quality and safety by performing activities for our EIA/IFA areas.  You will support production of commercial products by monitoring and coordinating reference material inventory supply, evaluate results for validity and acceptability in support of manufacturing for incoming raw materials, in-process materials and finished goods.  You will also document Quality Control activities using cGMP, perform equipment calibrations and maintenance and maintain stock supplies and reagents. You will perform activities for EIA/IFA to support production of commercial products including:


 



  • Monitor and coordinate reference material inventory supply.

  • Evaluate results for validity and acceptability in support of manufacturing for incoming raw materials, in-process materials and finished goods.

  • Document Quality Control activities using cGMP.

  • Perform equipment calibrations and maintenance in support of our Quality Control Laboratory.

  • Maintain stock of QC lab supplies and reagents.

  • Make your mark on value stream performance, driving improvements by documenting the current state and developing and implementing plans to achieve the future state.


  • Help us deliver for our customers by setting quality and reliability standards, performing instrument validations, and making process improvements that align with safety, environmental, and OSHA regulations.



What You Bring: 



  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in life sciences or related field.

  • 0-2 years experience in general laboratory environment performing analyses in areas of chemistry or biochemistry.  Studies in associated areas of life sciences, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be a match.

  • Strong computer skills, ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, ability to work in clean room environment with appropriate gowning restrictions, and good attention to detail.

  • Teamwork, ability to collaborate well with others.

  • Comfortable confidence, dependable, and self reliant.

Compensation: The estimated hourly range for this position is $67,725 to $77,000 at the time of posting.  Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
